It is the responsibility of the government to prevent and treat illness and provide proper health facilities like health centres, hospitals, laboratories for testing, ambulance services, blood banks and so on for all people.
These services should be within the reach of every patient from the remotest corners. But doing all this on a large scale is a herculean task in a huge state like Uttar Pradesh, which is why the government has come up with the innovative solution of setting up Arogya melas in each district.
Arogya Mela: Latest healthcare developments in Uttar Pradesh
- Yogi government will organise Arogya Mela on a large scale in all 75 districts of the state.
- The target is to organise 13 to 16 thousand health fairs every month.
- Every Sunday Arogya Mela will be organised from 10 am to 2 pm.
- At 3388 primary health centres, Arogya fairs will be organised across the state.
- Diseases like OPD, TB, dengue, malaria, brain fever, kala-azar, filariasis and leprosy will be treated in these health fairs.
- The beneficiaries of the Jan Arogya Yojana will also be given Golden cards.
- Malnourished children will be identified and arrangements will be made for their treatment.
The Yogi Adityanath health initiatives are conducted for the better health of the people across the state. From the transformation of government hospitals to the construction of super speciality hospitals, as well as organizing health fairs, a large population has benefited. After this, the department will organize more than 1 lakh 72 thousand 'Arogya Mela' in all 75 districts of the state from August 2024 to July 2025.
Health facilities provided in the Arogya Mela
According to the officials of the Health Department, as per the wishes of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Arogya Mela will be organised every Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm at 3,388 primary health centres of the state to give push to the Uttar Pradesh swasthya seva.
In these, along with OPD, diseases like TB, dengue, malaria, brain fever, kala-azar, filariasis and leprosy will be treated by specialist doctors and health advice related to these will be given.
During this time, information about Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan and golden cards will also be distributed to the eligible beneficiaries. Apart from this, pregnancy and delivery counselling and services will be provided.
Along with this, complete vaccination counselling will also be provided to the people and along with this the information and facilities will be given for the prevention, protection and treatment of diarrhoea and pneumonia in children.
Conclusion
The Yogi government will organise 1,76,176 Arogya Fairs in all 75 districts of the state from August 2024 to July 25. In August month, 13,552 Arogya Fairs will be organised, 16,940 in September, 13,552 in October, 13,552 in November and 16,940 in December this year. After this, in 2025, 13,552 Arogya Fairs will be organised in January, 13,552 in February, 16,940 in March, 13,552 in April, 13,552 in May, 16,940 in June and 13,552 in July.
