After testing positive for COVID-19, Lee Seung Gi sent a soothing message to his followers.

According to rumors, Lee Seung Gi's agency Hook Entertainment had temporarily ceased all activities due to being diagnosed with COVID-19 on February 15.

"Today, Lee Seung Gi used a self-test kit before a [planned] advertisement shoot," a representative of the agency said. He instantly ceased all scheduled activities as soon as he realized that his result was positive. He went through PCR testing after that, and the results came back positive."

"He is currently in self-isolation," Hook Entertainment added, noting that Lee Seung Gi had already taken three doses of the COVID-19 vaccination. He will follow the government's health-care rules."

Lee Seung Gi followed up with an update on his health on Instagram Stories shortly after. "How did an article [get published] at the speed of light like this?" the star captioned a screenshot of a story regarding his diagnosis. ”

"Because many people have been worried and contacting me, I merely have typical cold-like symptoms, so please don't worry too much," he wrote after posting an endearing childhood photo. I'll be back in good health in no time and look forward to seeing you again!! Thank you to everyone who has been concerned about my well-being."
