Won Soju by Jay Park will be available for 14,900 KRW ($12.50 USD).
One Spirits Co., Ltd. (CEO Jay Park) will launch 'Won Soju' on the Korean market on the 25th.
'Won Soju' will be sold for 14,900 KRW per 375 ml, a higher price than standard soju, which is generally offered at restaurants for 4,000 to 5,000 KRW (3.35-8.19 USD) for 360 ml. 'Won Soju' is a premium distilled soju made entirely of Korean rice with no added ingredients.
Unlike diluted soju, which uses alcohol as the foundation component and then adds sweetness, Won Soju uses a reduced pressure distillation method to get a clean, delicate taste and flavor.
In particular, it undergoes the aging process in artisanal pottery.
Jay Park previously stated on the official YouTube channel of Esquire Korea magazine, "I developed it for two years, held a weekly meeting, and tasted it every day, and now it's finally launching."
"With the launch, we want to globalize soju by showcasing the greatness of Korean distilled soju not only in Korea but around the world," Jay Park added.
The Hyundai Seoul pop-up store in Yeouido, Seoul will be the first to sell 'Won Soju' on a limited basis. Everyone will be able to purchase 'Won Soju' online through its official website starting at the end of March.
"I feel the price may be higher given it's distilled soju," "I can't wait to sample it," "It's finally here!" "I must get my hands on one," "The pricing is so inexpensive for distilled liquor," and "The price is not that awful actually," said many who were pleased to hear the news of "Won Soju."
