Baekho has recently been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Pledis Entertainment issued the following statement on March 26:

Hello. This is Pledis Entertainment.

We would like to provide you with some information about Pledis Entertainment’s artist Baekho being diagnosed with COVID-19.

Baekho tested positive on a self-testing kit he preemptively took on Saturday, March 26. He promptly took a rapid antigen test and was diagnosed with COVID-19. Baekho is currently not exhibiting extraordinary symptoms and is administering self-treatment at home.

Therefore, Baekho will adjust his schedule and focus on treatment for a while. We will provide you with updates on his activity resumption.

We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Baekho while placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists. We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities.

On March 14, the exclusive artist contract with NU'EST came to an end. JR, Aron, and Ren departed the company, however Baekho and Minhyun chose to keep their jobs. The group's farewell album, "Needle Bubble," was released on March 15, along with a music video for the title track.
