The ODDINARY album by South Korean boy band Stray Kids has climbed to the top of the world's best albums chart. Surprisingly, it's the group's first appearance on the Billboard 200 chart, which ranks the best albums throughout the world every week, and they've managed to take the top spot right away.
With 103,000 album equivalent units sold in the United States during the tracking week of March 18 to 24, the boy band has achieved the title of greatest sales week for any act in 2022.
The fact that their record debuted at number one is noteworthy in and of itself, but the fact that it is also the group's first time on the chart does not go ignored. The diverse songs developed by 3RACHA (consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han from Stray Kids) make the 7-track album all the more personal for the 8-member boy group.
Stray Kids are only the third Korean artist to reach the top place, following BTS and SuperM, and the first from their own agency.
Meanwhile, the band is planning a comeback following the members' recuperation from COVID-19. A new schedule has been revealed, which includes video events, music video releases, behind-the-scenes material, and more.
