Kim Tae Ho, the PD (producing director) of many MBC variety shows, is leaving MBC after 21 years with the broadcasting network.
MBC issued a statement verifying the news on September 7. It has been reported that PD Kim Tae Ho has expressed his desire to resign from MBC. Kim Tae Ho joined MBC in January 2001 and directed shows such as Infinite Challenge and How Do You Play?, greatly advancing MBC's variety programs.
Both MBC and MBC's variety show department reveal heartfelt gratitude to PD Kim Tae Ho for his efforts, and they wish him well in the future as he embarks on new endeavors.
Furthermore, PD Kim Tae Ho stated that, while he is stepping down from MBC, he hopes to continue working on MBC's television shows through a different collaborative partnership. MBC's variety show department is also excited to be cooperating with PD Kim Tae Ho, who will work to generate more diverse content.
PD Kim Tae Ho will devote his entire time and energy to program production at MBC's variety show department until December 2021. How Do You Play?, directed by Kim Tae Ho, will then be led by his junior PDs who have been working with him up to this point.
Kim Tae Ho is best known for his work on MBC's Infinite Challenge until 2018 and How Do You Play? since 2019, both of which are led by Yoo Jae Suk. He is also one of the best variety show producers in Korea, as he is frequently mentioned in a variety of TV shows, not only on MBC but also on other channels and even cable channels.
