Girl’s Generation Yuri set to make a comeback with ‘Dolphin’

The singer-actress will be playing a role of a simple village girl.

The members of Girl’s Generation, dubbed as  “Korea’s National Girl Group”  are making waves in different acting stints. Four of the members including Kwon Yuri have taken a break in their singing careers and ventured into acting.

 

Kwon Yuri heralded a screen comeback with director Bae Doo Ri’s independent film, ‘Dolphin’. The singer-turned-actress takes the role of ‘Nayong”, which calls for a woman who lives in a small village and whose only world is her family. The story revolves around ‘Nayoung’, played by Yuri, opening her perspective about the new changes in her life and gaining hope. 

 

 

 

The actress burst onto the acting scene with SBS 2012 drama series Fashion King alongside drama actor Yoo Ah-in. Her acting performance gained much praise from global fans and critics and even landed her an acting career in the same year.

 

As an actress, she has been attracting attention on her choice of films and how she would portray roles. Everyone is focused on how her acting in the independent film  ‘Dolphin’, as her next project, would bring out the audience’s sensibility and awareness.
