After his successful stint on Mnet’s Street Woman Fighter, Kang Daniel will be returning to host a spinoff titled Street Dance Girls Fighter.
The spinoff will follow dance crews from all-girls’ high schools. Several former Street Woman Fighter participants—namely Aiki, Gabee, Honey J, Hyojin Choi, Lee Jung, Monika, NOZE, and Rihey—will appear as judges and mentors.
In other news, Kang Daniel proved that you can’t win ‘em all when he lost a lawsuit he filed against the online community DC Inside. He previously asked for the community’s Produce 101 Season 2 gallery to be shut down, claiming that thousands of defamatory posts about him would appear on the gallery every day.
However, the Seoul Central District Court didn’t rule in the idol’s favor. In an explanation of the ruling, the judge wrote, “While the plaintiff 'DC Inside' is responsible for monitoring its online community, if moderators begin interfering extensively due to the potential threats of defamation and the resulting compensation from those acts, freedom of expression on the internet will be weakened.”
The judge added, “It is difficult to conclude that the only way to prevent the infringement of Kang Daniel's privacy is to shut down this gallery.”
