The Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC) convened a public meeting on November 8.

The KCSC fined Mnet's "Idol School" and SBS Biz's "Live Live Economics, Information Talk Talk."

"Idol School" was chastised for arbitrarily altering the process of counting viewers' votes over the course of nine episodes in order to skew the rankings and dismiss candidates. The makers of "Idol School" have also been charged and sentenced in connection with the case.

“Live Live Economics, Material Talk Talk” was chastised for broadcasting misleading information with impersonators posing as farmers and experts. According to Newstapa, the reporters in this case appeared on their own program in order to generate a bogus tale.

Following consideration of the specific circumstances, substance, length, and number of infractions implicated, the exact amount of the fine will be established at the next general meeting.

The KCSC also issued warnings in 42 incidents where viewers were deceived by home shopping channels and other comparable content.

The KCSC's broadcasting assessment reports include both penalties and warnings, which may be used as evidence for renewing and granting stations' licenses.
