Jang Dong-yoon Talks About His Experience as a Voice Actor and More

The full interview will be published in Marie Claire magazine's December issue.

"Chun Tae-il," the forthcoming animated feature starring Jang Dong Yoon, was the subject of a recent interview with Marie Claire magazine.

The actor, who spoke about his firsthand experience voicing a character for the upcoming animated feature and his fondness for the part, also sat for a picture shoot in a black suit and sweater, which matched his calm demeanor.

"It was challenging to perform without using any motions or facial expressions and only depending on my voice," Jang Dong Yoon remarked when asked about the new hurdles he'd experienced. "But I researched the character of Chun Tae Il and learnt a lot while acting."

He also disclosed that he enjoys writing poems and journals for the sake of self-expression, and that when he performs, he is concerned with authentically communicating the views of the author.

"I appreciate my work when the director is pleased and cries out, 'Cut,'" he said when asked about the moment he feels fulfilled as an actor. I believe this is why the trust element between the director and myself is so critical."

The entire interview with Jang Dong Yoon, as well as a photo spread, will be published in the December issue of Marie Claire.
