Younghoon from THE BOYZ recently took part in a photo session for the brand Arena Homme Plus.

During the conversation, Younghoon discussed his ideas about playing in front of an audience without any spectators. THE BOYZ made their debut in 2017, but owing to COVID-19, they have had to perform on stage in front of a blank audience for the last two years. In his own words, "When I'm on stage without an audience, I feel like a robot," Younghoon said. "I'm aware that I'm loved, but it was difficult to genuinely sense that love."

He highlighted his enthusiasm for their next concert, which will take place around the end of December, stating, "We'll be seeing The B (fandom name) for the first time in over two years." I believe that when we encounter one other, I will be so overcome with joy that I will be unable to speak."

"Love Revolution" and "One the Woman" were two dramas that helped Younghoon make the transition from model to actor. He said that he had never grown acclimated to the challenges of being an actor, adding, "I've never considered that I'd gotten used to being an actor." I put a high value on looking good on camera, dancing, and singing when I'm performing on stage. A great level of focus and character study is required while playing as an actor, though, because you must get entirely absorbed in your part. I have a long way to go, therefore I must put out tremendous effort."

He made note of renowned actor Kim Chang Wan, who co-starred with him in the film "One the Woman." "On the day of the second scene, I happened to meet Kim Chang Wan sunbaenim," he explained. The fact that I was able to appear in a work with a legendary senior actor was like a dream come true, and I felt a range of emotions. Rather than being discouraged or feeling small, I wanted to do better. I was really motivated.”

In his previous interview with Arena Homme Plus, he said he wanted to be a cool person. When asked to define what a “cool person” is, he answered, “It’s a polite adult who does their best at a given task. I want to be a cool person, but on the other hand, I want to remain a boy.”
