The actress Im Soo Hyang will be appearing in a new drama opposite So Ji Sub and Shin Sung Rok!
According to the Korean Broadcasting Corporation, Im Soo Hyang has been cast in the forthcoming drama "Dr. Lawyer." An emotionally charged and cathartic story about a brilliant surgeon who becomes a medical malpractice lawyer after losing everything in a staged operation, as well as an investigator from the Medical Crimes Department who loses her own family and boyfriend in the course of that procedure. When they work together, they can punish those who believe that the significance of a person's life may be rated based on his or her riches or influence, and they can soothe those who have suffered injustice.
So Ji Sub has been cast in the lead role of medical malpractice lawyer Han Yi Han, with Shin Sung Rok cast in the part of CEO Jayden Lee. The casting was announced earlier this year.
Im Soo Hyang will take on the job of prosecutor Geum Seok Young of the Medical Crimes Department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, which will be based in Seoul. Criminals are reformed, not via forgiveness and tolerance, but by punishment, according to her unshakable convictions. Even their own attorneys admit that she is more willing to pronounce defendants innocent than they are when it comes to legitimately innocent people.
The first episode of "Dr. Lawyer" is scheduled to debut in 2022.
