The 2021 People's Choice Awards recently took place on December 7, Tuesday, in Santa Monica, California. BTS  was the big winner of the night as they brought home three (3) trophies. 

Due to their hiatus for an extended period of time, the BTS members did not attend personally the live ceremony. Still, the group was announced as this year's "The Group of 2021". They competed with other artists such as Imagine Dragons, The Jonas Brothers, Dan and Shay, and their latest music collaborator, Coldplay. Ultimately, the seven (7) member group were announced as the winner.

"Butter", meanwhile, was given the honor of "The Song of 2021" after edging out "good 4 u" by Olivia Rodrigo, "Easy On Me" by Adele, "LOCATION" by KAROL G, Anuel AA, and J Balvin, "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" by Lil Nas X,  "Peaches" by Justin Bieber feat. Daniel Caesar Giveon, "My Universe" by Coldplay X BTS, and "STAY" by The Kid LAROI Justin Bieber.

Finally, they were awarded the "The Music Video of 2021", totaling their wins to three (3) trophies.
