BLACKPINK's Jisoo Gushes About The Support She Got From BLACKPINK While Filming For Her Upcoming Drama

BLACKPINK's Jisoo was very happy when she talked about her upcoming drama "Snowdrop" and how she worked on the drama with the help of the people who supports and loves her

Last time, Jung Hae In was interviewed about "Snowdrop" and his chemistry with his co-star BLACKPINK's Jisoo. This time around, BLACKPINK's Jisoo held an interview to talk about their upcoming drama.

"Snowdrop" will tell the romanve between Su Ho, the character played by Jung Hae In, who is a student at a prestigious university who suddenly barges into a women's university dorm covered in blood one day, and Young Ro, Jisoo's character, the student at the women's university dorm who helps Su Ho hide and takes care of his wounds.

"Young Ro, my character in the drama, is charming. She is someone who just turned adult, 20 years old, but her unexplainable charisma to draw people in feels like it has been passed on to me. Over time, she matures and the way she becomes more and more adult while learning the ways of the world looks really cool to me.," Jisoo shared in the interview. Jisoo also revealed that she shares some similarities with her character in the aspect of delivering bright energy to people. She also said that they are the same when it comes to putting in effort to help everyone get along well.

Set in Seoul in 1987, Jisoo's character Young Ro is a student at Hosu Women's University and living with her roommate at dorm No. 207. After going on a blind date within the dorms, she fell in love with Su Ho at first sight.

"I made it an effort to think and act like Young Ro while I was filming the drama. My most cherished moment was talking nonstop about Young Ro with our director Jo Hyun Tak. With the mindset that Young Ro means a lot to Su Ho, I prepared a lot in order to not forget their feelings for each other.," Jisoo shared.

The set of their filming, according to her, was like living in the dorms. Jisoo got very close with everyone to the point that she met up and hang out with the friends she was rooming with in the drama since before broadcast began so as to get closer while practicing their lines. "It was fun making the drama together.," the singer said.

On her chemistry with Jung Hae In, she was ecstatic. She revealed, "It was really my luck that Jung Hae In is the very first actor I am starring opposite of. He sincerely monitored my scenes, and was really reliable because not only did he lead the set, he also listened to my concerns. From the get go, I believe his strongest charm is his ability to listen carefully and think about the concerns of everybody."

As for her BLACKPINK members' support to her first drama gig, she explained, "They told me that they will definitely be tuning in. The members supported me alot and expressed their curiousity about the drama. I was able to gain strength and work hard on filming due to their support."

The changes she felt that was happening to her after filming Snowdrop was clear to her.  "I feel the wide and diverse emotions I normally did not experience before. As my character matured, I also matured. I will never forget this experience where so many people really helped out each other to finally complete and end the drama beautifully."

"Snowdrop" will air on December 18 at 10:30 P.M. KST at JTBC.
