It has been announced that Shin Dong Yup and Kim Yoo Jung will host the SBS Drama Awards in 2021!
The two celebrities served as MCs for the ceremony last year, and they will once again demonstrate excellent teamwork at this year's event.
Many SBS shows, including "My Little Old Boy" and "TV Animal Farm," are hosted by Shin Dong Yup, who is currently the MC. His fifth year as the event's host marks his fifth year in the role.
With her performance in the hit SBS drama "Lovers of the Red Sky," Kim Yoo Jung made a lasting impression. This is her second time hosting the ceremony with Shin Dong Yup, and she is looking forward to it.
The SBS Drama Awards in 2021 will take precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of those who will be attending. Tables will not be set up in the audience area, as was the case last year. Instead, the actors will wait in their respective waiting areas and will only come up to the stage when the presenter calls their name on the microphone. For the sake of safety, the trophy will be placed on a table and the award winner will have to pick it up themselves. All of the MCs will be using their own personal microphones, and the microphones on stage will be disinfected and their covers replaced after each award is handed out. Before entering the building, all personnel will be required to preregister and provide proof of their current vaccination status. Those who have not been vaccinated yet will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test result in order to be admitted.
The SBS Drama Awards will be held on December 31 at 9 p.m. KST, according to the broadcaster's schedule.
