"The Red Sleeve" will be extended by an episode!

In a report published on December 9, OSEN stated that the MBC historical drama will conclude with 17 episodes, rather than the originally scheduled 16.

Following the publication of the report, a source from the drama commented, "A one-episode extension has been confirmed in order to bring the series to a successful conclusion and to reward viewers for their support with a more solid story and ending."

"In addition to the male and female leads' romance, which has officially begun, a variety of stories are being prepared for the second half of the drama," the representative continued. In order to meet viewers' expectations, the production team and cast will put forth their best effort until the show's conclusion."

It is a historical drama about the imperial romance between crown prince Yi San (Lee Junho), who later becomes emperor, and the strong-willed court lady Seong Deok Im (Seong Deok Im) (Lee Se Young). With an average nationwide rating of 5.7 percent, the drama premiered in early September, and its ratings have steadily increased since then, surpassing the 10 percent mark this past week.
