Mnet has announced the premiere of 'Boys Planet,' a follow-up to the idol survival show 'Girls Planet 999,' which aired earlier this year.

Mnet has shown a trailer for 'Boys Planet' at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) which happened in Paju on December 11, stating that the show will premiere in 2022.

The enigmatic phrases "The signal from New Planet,” "We are waiting for boys to go on a worldwide voyage together," and "We are waiting for boys to go on a global journey together" were featured in the brief trailer, whetting viewers' appetites for this impending survival show.

Shortly after the awards show, Mnet has posted on their Twitter account the application requirements and qualifications for the upcoming survival show.

Meanwhile, Kep1er, the final girl group from 'Girls Planet 999,' will debut in December. However, their debut has been postponed indefinitely due to a staff member who tested positive with COVID-19.
