Which artists do you want to see on the nominees for this year?

The annual HIPHOPLE x HIPHOPPLAYA’s ‘Korean Hiphop Awards’ has just announced their return this 2022!

The 'Korean Hiphop Awards 2022' (also known as 'KHA 2022'), a joint project by HIPHOPPLAYA and HIPHOPLE which are two of the most popular media that reports on and represents Korean hip-hop, will be on its 6th year this 2022. 'KHA 2022' will highlight the performance of hip-hop and RB genres, targeting domestic black music works and artists released from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.

'KHA 2022', where nominations will be held from January 4 to 10, consists of a total of 10 categories, including 'Artist of the Year'. To establish fairness and diversity, the final winner is decided by combining the results of the netizens vote and the selection committee vote in a 5:5 ratio. Unlike last year, the selection committee is composed of newly-joined music critics and media experts, as well as experts from various fields such as labels, AR, and video directors. Netizen voting will be held from the 18th to the 31st of January, after the nominations have been completed.

Previously, at last year's 'KHA 2021', Jay Park won three awards, including 'Artist of the Year', 'Label of the Year' and 'Music Video of the Year'. Some awardees in 11 categories last year includes Homies as the 'Rookie Artist of the Year' and Bill Stax’ “DETOX” as the 'Hip-Hop Album of the Year.'

The 'KHA 2022' award is scheduled to be held between February and March 2022, and will be broadcasted live online live due to the surge on COVID19 again this year.
