Choi Youngjae Talks About GOT7’s Friendship and More In The Star Magazine Pictorial and Interview

Youngjae describes how the group's bond never changed.

Choi Youngjae discussed GOT7 members' friendship, his objectives as an actor and singer, and more in a new interview and photo shoot with The Star magazine.

Youngjae has had a busy few months: in addition to releasing his new single "Walk With Me," the GOT7 member is presently acting in the new web drama "Love Wish" alongside Choi Ye Bin from "The Penthouse."

"Both my digital single and online drama came out recently," Youngjae remarked in a post-shoot interview with The Star. "In the winter, my new song 'Walk With Me' is a nice song to listen to."

"I want to keep making music," he concluded, looking ahead to the coming year. In 2022, I hope that everyone will listen to this song while walking down a beautiful route."

While Youngjae kept his modesty about his fledgling acting career, he did admit that despite being a newbie, he feels surprisingly at ease while filming. "When I'm acting, I genuinely feel more calm, and the tension is different," he explained. "I'm still too embarrassed to call myself an actor," she says, "but I want to work harder in the future to act like Hwang Jung Min or Joaquin Phoenix."

In terms of the GOT7 members' ongoing friendship, Youngjae proudly revealed that he and his bandmates are still as close as ever, saying, "We still have a lot of fun in our group chat together talking about pretty stupid things. We're getting along much better now."

"We always talk things out through discussion and compromise, even when we fight," he continued. "We believe in always resolving issues by concluding the conversation, no matter what, and when we say we're going to do something, we're the types to encourage each other and work together to complete it."

When asked to explain himself in one word or phrase, Youngjae shyly said, "'A typical, average person.' That one sentence might sum me up entirely."

"Getting off work early," he laughed when asked about his notion of happiness. “I'm not sure why everyone keeps this a secret. I worked hard and did a good job because I was able to leave work early."

Finally, Youngjae discussed how he wants to be known as an artist to the general public. "I want to come across to the general public as a cool and well-known singer," he explained. "I don't expect people to know what kind of music I'm doing, to be honest." That's fine with me. However, I'd like for people to know who Youngjae is. That would suffice for me."
