BTS Tops 4 out 10 on U.S. Best-Selling Digital Songs Of 2021

Congratulations to BTS for this feat!

For the second year in a row, K-pop sensation boy band BTS has claimed the title of having the most digital tracks sold in the United States.

According to an annual year-end report released jointly by MRC Data and Billboard on Thursday, "Butter" was the digital song that reaped the most in the United States, with 1.89 million downloads sold (local time). The group's "Dynamite" was the best-selling product in 2020, with 1.26 million units sold.

The summer disco-pop song was published in May as the group's second English-language record, and it spent ten weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Only 40 singles in Billboard history have achieved this accomplishment, including "Butter."

Walker Hayes' "Fancy Like," which sold 499,000 downloads, came in second place in the year-end poll.

Last year, "Butter" was the only song to sell over one million downloads in the United States.

The group had a solid showing in the category of digital music sales.

With "Permission to Dance" in third place with 404,000 downloads, "Dynamite" in sixth place with 308,000 downloads, and "My Universe," a collaboration single with British rock band Coldplay, in seventh place with 287,000 downloads, it claimed four of the top ten spots.

With its fourth full-length album "Map of the Soul: 7," BTS topped the top-selling physical album list in 2020, but failed to make the list the previous year.
