Esom, Kang You Seok, and Kim Woo Bin will collaborate on the upcoming Netflix original series "Delivery Knight" (working title).
The story unfolds as legendary delivery knight 5-8, who has extraordinary fighting skills, meets refugee Sa Wol, who dreams of becoming a delivery knight because they are the refugees' only hope. At the 2018 Asian Contents Film Market, the webtoon "Delivery Knight" earned an E-IP Pitching (Entertainment Intellectual Property Pitching) award for highlighting the work of delivery persons, artistically portraying them as exceptional people in charge of everyone's survival. Jo Ui Seok, who is the director for "Master," "Cold Eyes," and "The World of Silence," will direct the drama.
Kim Woo Bin, who has wowed audiences with films such as "Master," "Twenty," "The Con Artists," "Uncontrollably Fond," and "Heirs," will play the renowned delivery knight 5-8, who no one can stop. This will be his second collaboration with director Jo Ui Seok, following their collaboration on "Master."
Kang You Seok will play Sa Wol, a refugee who is envious of the renowned 5-8 and adamant about becoming a delivery knight himself. His parts in "Grotesque Mansion: The Original," "Light On Me," "Start-Up," and "Once Again" have all left an impression on the actor.
Seol Ah, a military intelligence major who cares after Sa Wol like family and is his salvation, will be played by Esom. Esom has previously appeared in "Samjin Company English Class," "Inseparable Bros," "Microhabitat," and "Taxi Driver," and will reunite with Kim Woo Bin 11 years after they co-starred in "White Christmas" in 2011.
