‘Squid Game’ Gets Four Nominations at the 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards!

Squid Game never stops at proving itself worthy of the recognition!

With four nominations for the 28th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, "Squid Game" has made history!

The SAG Awards officially announced this year's nominees on January 12 at noon local time, and "Squid Game" became the first non-English language TV series to be nominated for an award. (Back in 2020, "Parasite" made history as the first foreign-language film to win the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.)

Along with "The Handmaid's Tale," "The Morning Show," "Succession," and "Yellowstone," "Squid Game" has been nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, which is the highest accolade in the SAG Awards' drama category.

Lee Jung Jae and Jung Ho Yeon, stars of "Squid Game," were also nominated for individual acting awards. Lee Jung Jae will compete against Brian Cox ("Succession"), Billy Crudup ("The Morning Show"), Kieran Culkin ("Succession"), and Jeremy Strong ("Succession") for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.

Meanwhile, Jung Ho Yeon will compete for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series against Jennifer Aniston ("The Morning Show"), Elisabeth Moss ("The Handmaid's Tale"), Sarah Snook ("Succession"), and Reese Witherspoon ("The Morning Show").

Finally, a nomination for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series was given to "Squid Game." "Cobra Kai," "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier," "Loki," and "Mare of Easttown" are among the other nominees for the award.

Congratulations on the historic nominations for the cast of "Squid Game"!
