Blackpink's Jisoo and Jung Hae-in Talk About Snowdrop

This is their first acting project ever, and it is years in the making.

BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Jung Hae In discussed their upcoming drama "Snowdrop" in a recent interview and photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar magazine.

"Snowdrop," a new JTBC romance drama set in 1987, will be directed and written by the director and writer of the mega hit "SKY Castle."

Su Ho will be played by Jung Hae In, a prestigious university student who unexpectedly rushes into a women's university dorm covered in blood one day, while Young Ro will be played by Jisoo, a student at the women's university who hides him and tends to his wounds despite being under close surveillance.

"The major reason was the script," Jung Hae In said when asked why he chose the drama for his next endeavor. The quality of the writing, the story's quality, and my complete faith in the writer and director."

"Since the worlds that Young Ro and Jisoo live in are so entirely different from one another, I actually didn't find myself getting confused," Jisoo said when asked if she experienced any whiplash jumping back and forth between BLACKPINK promotions and filming for "Snowdrop."

"On top of that, everyone treated me like Young Ro instead of Jisoo from the minute I got on the set," she stated. "I was able to entirely focus on being Young Ro because of them, so I was quite grateful to the staff."

Jung Hae In also discussed some of the challenges he encountered while shooting the drama.

"'Snowdrop' was the project in which I hit the most brick walls in terms of my acting," he explained. "As a result, I put even more faith in not only the director and Jisoo, but also every single member of the production team." During that time, I discovered that there is nothing you can do completely on your own. As a result, I expect to be more scared than ever as I watch the first episode broadcast."

Jisoo, on the other hand, talked about how her bandmates had given her courage while filming.

"The other BLACKPINK members pledged that they would watch the drama when it aired on TV no matter what," Jisoo added. "They were always cheering me on, even when I was filming, because we communicate so frequently." I found myself gaining strength and working even harder since the members were so interested in the drama."

Finally, when asked who she would watch the debut of "Snowdrop" with, Jisoo joked, "I don't have the confidence to see the opening with anyone." I want to watch it at home by myself, but I'm not sure what will happen. I'm afraid I'll have to cover my eyes with my hands and peer through the tiny gap between my fingers."

The premiere of "Snowdrop" will take place on December 18 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
