Congratulations to V for this amazing feat!

V by BTS has topped the Oricon and iTunes charts in Japan, making it the first K-pop album to do so!

V's solo song "Christmas Tree" was finally released in Japan on January 13, several weeks after it was first published in Korea as part of Choi Woo Shik's drama "Our Beloved Summersoundtrack. "'s

"Christmas Tree" debuted at No. 1 on Oricon's daily digital singles list almost immediately after its release. On its first day in Japan, the song received a total of 11,771 downloads, breaking the previous record for the most first-day downloads by a Korean solo artist.

"Christmas Tree" also climbed to No. 1 on Japan's iTunes Top Songs chart barely two hours after its release, and it has remained there for almost 76 hours as of January 16, making it the longest run at No. 1 of any Korean song in the chart's history.

In addition to its record-breaking achievements in Japan, "Christmas Tree" has made history in a number of other countries. "Christmas Tree" reached 20 million Spotify streams in just 18 days, marking it the fastest song by a Korean male solo artist to do so.

In the United States, V became the first Korean artist to debut a solo single at No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart (and "Christmas Tree" became the first Korean OST song to top the chart).

V, congrats on your incredible accomplishments!
