GOT7 Celebrates 8th Anniversary Through An Instagram Live

The members proved that distance can't separate them from each other.

Through a special Instagram Live broadcast, GOT7 reconnected with fans!

All seven members took part in a live stream on January 15 KST, which was launched by the group's leader Jay B and joined by fellow member Jinyoung. BamBam, Yugyeom, and Youngjae were also spotted together, with Jackson calling in from China, while Mark was spotted at home in California, where he admitted it was "5:40 a.m."

The trio delivered their customary GOT7 greeting before going on to various topics with plenty of chuckles during the program. BamBam talked about his recent quarantine and future album, Mark talked about his new music, and Jackson suggested that he was "shooting something" and is presently "living safely" during the epidemic when asked what they've been up to recently. Jinyoung disclosed that he is going to begin making a movie, while Jay B stated that he is now "simply staying at home" after completing new songs that has yet to be released. The members also belatedly congratulated Youngjae on his acting debut, while the younger members ridiculed Mark and Jay B for turning 30 in Korean years.

"It's tough for us to be together because of COVID-19, but we wanted to be able to celebrate, so we're doing it via live stream. Thank you and congratulations to all our fans for these eight years," Jay B told viewers, drawing applause from the other members. They also stated that when the time is appropriate, they plan to record a new song together.

Meanwhile, GOT7 made their debut on January 16, 2014 with the popular track "Girls Girls Girls." Despite joining to various labels after their contracts with JYP Entertainment expired last year, the members vow to stay together as a group.
