Wanna One's Single Release Faces Hiccups

There are still things needed to do to complete the production of the album.

Wanna One's upcoming single release may be postponed, according to sources in local media published on Thursday morning.

In a statement, CJ ENM stated that final negotiations with all connected management businesses for the release of "Beautiful Part 3" on January 27 had been concluded. It did recognize, however, that administrative procedures still needed to be completed before the project could be considered complete.

CJ ENM has been advocating for the band's reunion, and at the end of last year, he brought all of the members, with the exception of Lai Kuanlin, who is currently in China, to the stage for the 2021 Mnet Asia Music Awards. There was a presentation of the new song, "Beautiful," which is a reworking of "Beautiful," the main track from their 2017 album "1-1=0 (Nothing without You)," and "Beautiful Part 2," which is a reworking of their 2018 album "111=1 (Power of Destiny)."

Earlier this month, the company revealed that the new song will be released as an album on Jan. 27, precisely three years after the band's final concert, and that it will contain all 11 members, as Lai Kuanlin finished recording his part from China.

The boy band made their debut in 2017 through an audition procedure and disbanded approximately one and a half years later. All of the members, on the other hand, are actively pursuing their careers, whether as individuals or as a collective.
