Kim Rae Won, Gong Seung Yeon and Son Ho Jun To Star in New SBS Drama

Are you excited to see this trio in 'The Police Station Next to the Fire Station'?

SBS's new drama "The Police Station Next to the Fire Station" (literal title) will star Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun, and Gong Seung Yeon!

"The Police Station Next to the Fire Station," an SBS documentary, presents the story of how the police and fire fighters work together to apprehend criminals and put out fires. The drama emphasizes the first responders' ability to work together to save others' lives. This will be the first Korean drama to depict the joint response of the police and fire departments at high-stakes crime scenes when disasters, emergencies, and crises occur. The drama's cast has been revealed to include Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun, and Gong Seung Yeon.

Kim Rae Won will return to SBS for the first time in six years, following the success of his smash drama "Doctors," which had a viewership rate of 21.6 percent. He'll play Jin Ho Gae, a dedicated detective who won't let go of a case once he gets his hands on it. Jin Ho Gae is frequently misunderstood due to his harsh manner of speech and gruff look, yet he is a true detective with his quick ability to examine the crime scene, observant nature that allows him to grasp the minds of criminals, and strong resolve to win. Viewers are already looking forward to Kim Rae Won's portrayal of his role and the impending action scenes.

Members of the fire station will be played by Son Ho Jun and Gong Seung Yeon. Son Ho Jun will play Bong Do Jin, a firefighter who, despite his harsh demeanor, takes better care of those around him and the victims than anyone else, diving into the fire without hesitation. Son Ho Jun's superb acting skills increase expectation for his new role's unique portrayal.

Gong Seung Yeon, who has wowed audiences with her versatility in portraying a range of characters and roles, will turn into paramedic Song Seol, who attends to even the smallest wounds and also consoles people emotionally. Gong Seung Yeon, who won Best New Actress at the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards last year for her work in the film "Aloners," will enthrall viewers once more in her new role as a paramedic.

Jin Ho Gae, Bong Do Jin, and Song Seol will argue throughout the drama, not only because of their differences in personality, but also because of their varied perspectives as detectives and firefighters. Nonetheless, one of the most interesting aspects of the drama will be their unexpected partnership, which arises from a shared aim of ensuring the safety of the citizens. The production team resolved to capture realistic situations as well as the intricacies of fire investigations, which are regarded to be one of the most challenging types of scientific investigations, in order to record a story of police and fire fighters working together.

"'The Police Station Next to the Fire Station' is a project that illustrates the fierce united response by hidden heroes at the scene of a crime or disaster," the production team explained. Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun, and Gong Seung Yeon, who have all been confirmed to star in the drama, will each bring their finest performance and sincerity to their characters in order to demonstrate ideal cooperation, thus the production team is also excited. Please show your support and keep an eye out for the premiere of 'The Police Station Next to the Fire Station,' which will air on SBS in 2022."

The upcoming drama "The Police Station Next to the Fire Station" is written by "Partners for Justice" playwright Min Ji Eun and directed by Shin Kyung Soo of "The Tale of Nokdu," "Oh, the Mysterious," and "Six Flying Dragons." It is set to broadcast in 2022.
