With the participants from season 10 of Mnet's renowned hip-hop survival program, "Show Me the Money," the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) will stage the latest in its "ON THE K" series of online immersive concerts.
The state-run agency stated Monday that the "ON THE KShow Me the Money10 Festival" will be held in collaboration with KOCCA Music Studio, a studio specialized to online immersive performances.
Thursday at 10 p.m., the concert, which will combine cutting-edge technology such as extended reality (XR), will be webcast live via the agency's official YouTube channel, KOCCA MUSIC, and Twitter account.
In a release, Kim Rak-kyun, the head of the agency's Pop Culture Division, said, "KOCCA Music Studio's technology has made it possible for this event to be more immersive than others." "As we try to improve the sound system of the performances, (viewers) will notice more detail and lifeliness."
The concert series was launched in December by KOCCA Music Studio to provide a high-tech experience employing cutting-edge technologies such as XR, augmented reality, the metaverse, and immersive sound.
The fourth and final concert in the series will feature Jo Gwang-il, the winner of the hip-hop competition, and SINCE, the runner-up, as well as other contestants like Koonta, Basick, and Anandelight.
The rappers will play music from the program that has been a smash, as well as provide a behind-the-scenes peek at the competition. The concert will be hosted by rappers Nucksal and Paloalto.
The virtual event will also include an opening performance with an XR-created red carpet runway.
