Eric of THE BOYZ has been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to the official diagnosis.

According to the following statement made by THE BOYZ's management company IST Entertainment on their online fan cafe on January 24:

Hello.

This is IST Entertainment.

Please be advised that the musician THE BOYZ's Eric, who represents the agency, has tested positive for the communicable disease COVID-19.

Following the completion of his third dose of COVID-19 vaccination on January 20, THE BOYZ member Eric received word that an acquaintance of the buddy with whom he had dinner had tested positive for COVID-19. He did a precautionary PCR test on the morning of January 21 and found it to be negative.

Eric did not exhibit any symptoms after testing negative on January 21; as a result, he was isolated until January 21 and then returned to [THE BOYZ's] scheduled activities on January 22 after confirming that he had tested negative with a self-testing kit on January 21. After that, because a group reality show filming session was set for January 24, Eric preemptively performed a PCR test on January 23, and he received a positive test result the following morning, on January 24, before leaving for the filming session.

Following the discovery of Eric's positive COVID-19 test this morning, THE BOYZ and the rest of the crew were all subjected to COVID-19 testing.

At the moment, we are awaiting the results of the tests to be completed.

Furthermore, we communicated this information to the organizers of the scheduled activity for last weekend as soon as we received it.

Once the findings of the tests are available, we will make another public notification as soon as possible.

THE BOYZ will make adjustments to their official timetable, and we will notify you of any changes to the schedule when they have been made through the official home page of their website.
