Jay Park's 'Soju' Start-Up Has Reportedly Attracted TA Ventures Investment in the U.S

Transparent Arts is the home to American artists like Far East Movement and Yultron.

On the 25th, Maeil Economic Daily, citing sources in the investment banking (IB) industry, TA Ventures, an affiliate of the American entertainment agency Transparent Arts, recently raised the corporate value of 'Won Spirits', a soju production start-up led by Jay Park, to about 5 million dollars. It is reported that the company has decided to form a strategic relationship for overseas business in the future while investing in a minority stake.

Transparent Arts, which invested in Won Spirits, a soju start-up led by Jay Park, is an entertainment agency that houses popular American singers such as Far East Movement and Yultron. TA Ventures, an affiliate of Transparent Arts, is said to expect related support and collaboration synergy when the liquor line produced by One Spirits is exported to North and Central America.

'Won Spirits' is a soju startup founded by Jay Park and Kim Hyeong Seop, CEO of Culture Commerce from CJ. From a long time ago, Jay Park expressed his deep affection for soju and his business will to the extent of releasing a song called 'SOJU'. One Spirits is said to be planning to release 'Won Soju' through a domestic production plant as early as next month.

Jay Park's 'Won Soju' stands for premium Korean soju. It was revealed that the company plans to launch a distilled soju product using 100% domestic rice. It is also known that 'Wonsoju' is classified as a local specialty and can be sold online.

Meanwhile, Jay Park was revealed to be discussing a music content business with Kakao Entertainment as well.
