THE BOYZ Looks Back at Their Idol Journey, Talks About Meeting Fans After 2 Years in Star1 Interview

Check out THE BOYZ's interview below!

THE BOYZ talked about their fondest experiences from last year, their emotions after meeting their fans for the first time in almost two years, and more in a recent interview.

This year celebrates the fifth anniversary of THE BOYZ's debut. When the members reflected on it, they discussed how their mindset had evolved since the beginning. "I think I've adapted to idol life now," Q said at the outset. "You can see as much as you have experienced." Jacob said, "In the past, I merely stared forward and ran blindly, but today I have the freedom to look back and about." After going through a lot over the last four years, I've learned a few things. I believe I've gained some insight into how to better manage my time in order to move more quickly and how to prepare for a comeback in order to deliver a more complete performance."

The members also discussed their favorite moments from the previous year. "After 'Kingdom,' we published an album called 'THRILL RIDE,' and all of the songs charted," Kevin said. I was overjoyed at the time. I'm grateful to The B for making this possible for us."

"We won five honors on a music event," Sangyeon said of the awards the group received last year. We also won first place on a stage where many other sunbaes did as well. In the meantime, Jacob remarked on last year's FAN CON, adding, "FAN CON will be a memorable memory." It was a shame that we hadn't been able to meet the fans in two and a half years, but thanks to FAN CON, I was able to quench some of that need [to perform]. I'm hoping we'll have plenty of time to spend with our fans this year as well."

When asked about their love for their fans, the members expressed their frustration at not being able to meet them owing to the COVID-19 situation. "It was a moment I had been looking forward to," Q explained. I was quite jittery. I was tired and frustrated many times since I couldn't meet the fans for such a long time, but I was consoled by the fan concert. Because of the COVID-19 scenario, supporters had to wear masks and couldn't make a lot of noise, but I'm still not sure how they were able to applaud so loudly. We were given access to B's heart. I acquired a lot of strength thanks to the fans' encouragement. I believe I will be able to spend 2022 with more vigor."

Younghoon began by saying, "It had been a long time since we were able to meet The B, I wrote a letter because in the moment I thought I couldn't speak properly," and then went on to say, "It had been a long time since we were able to meet The B, I wrote a letter because in the moment I thought I couldn't speak properly." I was overcome with emotion as I read the letter, and tears streamed down my face. There were many difficult and hard times during that time, but I was able to endure and conquer them owing to The B's continual support. I grieved because I thought we had spent a lot of important time together."

They also talked about the different ways they show their affection for their followers. "Our devotion for our followers is a little strange," Eric explained. Each family member has a unique method of expressing their affection. I send out a lot of letters. It gives me a lot of strength every time I get a letter from a fan. I want to offer the fans the same power, so I post stuff or write handwritten notes on the official fan cafe. "I tend to share my life with The B. If I take a picture, I really want to share it with The B." Q also claimed he attempts to connect with followers through pictures, stating, "I tend to share my life with The B. If I take a picture, I really want to share it with The B."

THE BOYZ have strived to improve their musical abilities through their songs throughout their career. When asked what they thought was the secret to their success, the members gave their opinions. "99% of the credit is due to The B. I believe the remaining one percent was our work," Ju Haknyeon said of the fans' support. "My opinions are a little different," New disagreed. I believe we put in 100 percent effort. I'm not exaggerating when I say that we've put in a lot of effort. We also put in a lot of practice time."

"I still remember it perfectly," Eric went on to remark. I recall practicing for 16-18 hours a day during the 'Road to Kingdom' era. I went to the practice room when I awoke and practiced all night. Then I'd just about fall asleep, and when I awoke, I'd go back to practicing. I believe we only practiced except when we ate and went to the potty. I calculated how much time we spend practicing and found that we practice 14 hours each day on average. "It's incredible that we didn't flee from so much practice."

"I think the strength of THE BOYZ is that everyone of the 11 members has a particular appeal," Kevin said of the members' unique appearances. We are capable of executing a variety of concepts. "I think we all have faith in each other," Sangyeon said. "I think we all have strengthened our attractiveness and grown from it as we attempted this and that." Everyone in the group believes in each other, and we work together to ensure that no one gives up. We were able to progress, I believe, as a result of this partnership."

When asked whether they had any words of gratitude or affection for their fans, the members conveyed their gratitude and love. "To The B, thank you so much for liking us," Sunwoo stated. We've shared a lot of experiences. 'At the end of suffering, there is happiness,' as the saying goes, therefore let's only make good things in the future. I love you."
