IST Entertainment's upcoming boy group survival show “THE ORIGIN – A, B, OR What?” announces delay in its premiere.
Kakao Entertainment and Sony Music Solutions collaborated on the production of “THE ORIGIN – A, B, OR What?.” It will involve trainees being judged on their abilities by senior K-pop artists, expert judges, and live audience members, and it will allow viewers to observe the candidates' potential for growth as they strive for a chance to debut.
It was announced earlier this month that the show would launch on February 26 at 5 p.m. KST is broadcast on MBN, Kakao TV, and 1theK.
However, due to some trainees testing positive for COVID-19, MBN and Kakao TV stated on February 22 that the launch date will be postponed.

Hello, this is MBN and Kakao TV’s production team.
Last week, some of the trainees from the show were in poor condition and underwent preemptive PCR testing. As a result, they were diagnosed with COVID-19, and they are currently taking necessary measures in accordance with the guidelines of the disease control authorities.
In order to adjust part of the filming schedule and secure a safe production environment, MBN, Kakao TV, and IST Entertainment decided that it was inevitable to change the broadcast schedule and postpone the premiere, which was originally scheduled for February 26, to March 19. We ask for the generous understanding of the fans who waited with affection.
We thank the medical staff who are working hard for the health of the people, and we will continue to actively cooperate with the disease control authorities’ guidelines and do our best for the health and safety of the trainees and production staff.
Thank you.
