With the Netflix original 'Kingdom' special episode 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' ahead of its first release on the 23rd, cast members such as Jeon Ji-hyun, writer Kim Eun-hee, and director Kim Seong-hoon held a production presentation and raised expectations for the new drama.
'Kingdom: Asin' depicts the origin of the life and death that swept through Joseon from the identity of Asin (Jeon Ji-hyun), who moved the stage to the north and decorated the ending of 'Kingdom' season 2.
At an online production presentation on the 20th, writer Kim Eun-hee said, "I thought, "Where did life and death come from, who is the God of the ending of season 2, and what happened in the north, I thought it would be a story that could solve my curiosity."
Director Kim Seong-hoon said, "Writer Eun-hee Kim is the focal point of the story. I thought about how to complete such a perfect writing. 'The Story of Asin' is the most complete of the Kingdom series."
Jeon Ji-hyun, who is joining the series for the first time through 'Kingdom: Asin', said, "Ashin is a person who grew up on the border of the Yalu River and does not belong anywhere. She is a person who lives under persecution and contempt."
It is interesting whether 'Kingdom: Asinjeon' will write another history this summer.
