Solji of EXID held a virtual press conference on Friday to announce the release of her debut solo EP, "First Letter."
According to her, the moment was similar to "early summer" in terms of her professional musical journey. It has been ten years since she made her debut as a member of EXID, and it has been sixteen years since she first appeared on the music scene as a member of the ballad group 2NB.
"I feel that when a vocalist grows, he or she shines even brighter. From that perspective, I still consider myself to be at the beginning of my professional musical career," she remarked with a smile.
In all, there are six tracks on the EP, with the title track "Fade Away" being the standout track. She talks of losing someone and cherishing her memories of that person on the track. She has performed in a number of dance shows with EXID, and she has always assumed that if she were to go solo, she would sing ballads.
The singer expressed her hope that her song will be remembered for a long time, and that it will serve as a "pleasant reminiscence when you hear it five, 10 years later."
