Moonbin and Sanha from ASTRO have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
ASTRO's management company, Fantagio, issued a formal statement on the group's fan café on March 7 announcing the members' diagnosis.
Read the following statement:
Hello. This is Fantagio.
On March 6, our agency artist ASTRO’s Moonbin was experiencing mild cold symptoms so he immediately took a self-test kit, which turned out to be negative.
However, due to his ongoing cold symptoms, he preemptively took a rapid antigen test. As the results were positive, he immediately underwent COVID-19 PCR testing and was confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 today (March 7).
As Yoon Sanha has had overlapping activities with Moonbin, he took a rapid antigen test. Although he received negative results, we preemptively went forward with a COVID-19 PCR test for our artist’s health and the results came back positive for COVID-19 today (March 7).
Currently, Moonbin has no other symptoms besides mild cold symptoms and Yoon Sanha is asymptomatic. Both members will follow COVID-19 guidelines according to health authorities and focus on treatment and recovery.
As it has become difficult for ASTRO’s Moonbin and Yoon Sanha to participate in their scheduled activities, we will make another announcement about the artists’ upcoming promotions once they are released from quarantine.
We also ask that you read more details about the ‘2022 ASTRO AROHA FESTIVAL [GATE 6]’ that is scheduled for March 13 in the announcement that will be uploaded afterwards.
We ask for your understanding for causing worry to many people. In the future too, we will prioritize the health of our artists and staff. While following guidelines from health authorities, we will do everything we can for our artists’ quick recovery.
Thank you.
Moonbin and Sanha of ASTRO are slated to return to their unit on March 15. The complete group will hold their sixth anniversary fan meetup, dubbed "2022 ASTRO AROHA FESTIVAL [GATE 6], on March 13.
