BTS and BLACKPINK's Lisa Make History on Billboard's New Hot Trending Songs Chart

Congratulations to BTS and Lisa for this feat!

On Billboard's new Hot Trending Songs chart, BTS and BLACKPINK's Lisa are making history!

Billboard debuted a new chart in October that measures worldwide music-related trends and conversations on Twitter in real time, highlighting buzz surrounding new albums, award shows, festival moments, music nostalgia, and more. The Hot Trending Songs chart "is unique in that it gauges what songs people are talking about, not necessarily what they're listening to," according to Billboard.

Both BTS's mega hit "Butter" and BLACKPINK's Lisa's solo debut track "LALISA" completed their 20th week on the Hot Trending Songs chart for the week ending March 12, becoming them the first two songs ever to do so.

Notably, "Butter" and "LALISA" are the only two songs that have spent every week on the list since it began 20 weeks ago in October 2021.

After registering 3.9 million Twitter mentions for the tracking period of February 25 to March 3, "Butter" remained at No. 1 on the ranking this week, marking its 12th week at the top. Meanwhile, "LALISA" remained at No. 17 in the same week, with 289,000 Twitter mentions.

BTS took seven of the top 20 slots on the chart this week, including "Butter." No. 3 was Jungkook's "7 Fates: CHAKHO" OST track "Stay Alive" (produced by Suga), No. 5 was Jin's "Jirisan" OST track "Yours," No. 6 was V's "Our Beloved Summer" OST track "Christmas Tree," No. 13 was "Permission to Dance," and No. 18 was "Dynamite."

BTS and Lisa, we congratulate you both!
