'Trees Die on Their Feet,' an upcoming K-drama, appears to have a star-studded cast in the works. Following the news that actor Kang Ha Neul has agreed to play one of the pivotal characters, new sources claim that 'Something In The Rain' star Jung Hae In has been approached.
According to reports in the media, Jung Hae In has been offered the role of Bae Dong Jae, a conglomerate's heir. He is anticipated to take on a new attitude to being a man as a chaebol son, with cutting statements that may appear impolite but are underpinned by logic and common sense. He has a naturally aloof air and can be recognized as coming from a noble family with just one look, while being dislikeable at times.
The drama's plot revolves around a North Korean grandmother with limited time left in her life and a young man who poses as her grandson. Kang Ha Neul has accepted the part of Yoo Jae Heon's grandson and will play him. Youn Yuh Jung of 'Minari' fame has been contacted for the role of the elderly lady, while Son Ye Jin has been offered the role of her granddaughter.
Jung Hae In was last seen in the JTBC drama 'Snowdrop,' starring BLACKPINK's Jisoo.
