More celebrities have donated to aid victims of the burning wildfire on Korea's eastern coast.
A big wildfire broke out on a mountain near the beach town of Uljin in North Gyeongsang Province on Friday, March 4. It then spread to the nearby city of Samcheok in Gangwon Province, and then to other eastern coastal cities like as Donghae and Gangneung.
BTS' Suga, Shin Min Ah, Hyun Bin, Son Ye Jin, Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Hye Soo, IU, Kim Go Eun, Lee Byung Hun, Song Kang Ho, and many others have previously donated to the cause.
Park Shin Hye gave 50 million won for the support and recovery of the wildfire victims, according to the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief on March 9. Park Shin Hye had previously donated to disaster assistance in the past, such as the wildfires in Gangwon Province in 2019 and the local flooding in 2020.
The Korean Red Cross said on March 10 that trot artist Young Tak had contributed 100 million won two days prior to help the neighborhoods in Gangwon and North Gyeongsang Province impacted by the wildfire. Young Tak has previous experience with the Red Cross, having volunteered to give blood during the COVID-19 outbreak in December.
The Hope Bridge Association also announced on March 10 that Jun Ji Hyun had donated 100 million won to the wildfire victims. She had previously donated in the year 2020 to aid in the recovery of persons affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.
Suzy also gave 100 million won to the wildfire victims and became a member of the Hope Bridge Association's Honors Club, a group of the charity's most generous donors, demonstrating her commitment to continued donations. She had previously donated to aid victims of the 2019 wildfires as well as the 2020 floods.
Chae Jung Ahn, a South Korean actress, contributed 30 million won to the Hope Bridge Association. Lee Dong Wook, a Korean actor, gave 50 million won to the same organization.
