Woo Jiyoon, a former member of BOL4, has officially joined with a new agency. XX Entertainment reported on March 14 that Woo Jiyoon has inked an exclusive contract with the agency, nearly two years after her departure from the duo. "We are thrilled to be able to share a new beginning with Woo Jiyoon," a spokesman said. We will provide her with unwavering support in her future endeavors."
Woo Ji Yoon, who is now represented by the same agency as singer and songwriter Ahn Ye Eun, expressed her views through XX Entertainment, saying, "In the future, I will reach out to the people with a range of music, regardless of genre." I'm excited to have discovered a new company with whom I can discuss my future plans in greater depth. "At XX Entertainment, I want to greet you all with a positive image."
She made her formal debut in April 2016 alongside Ahn Jiyoung as part of the duo BOL4 (Bolbbalgan4), popularly known as 'Blushing Youth.' Woo Jiyoon was a member of the pair who played guitar, bass, rapped, and sang backup vocals. In 2014, the two of them took part in 'Superstar K6,' which led to their obtaining a deal with Woo Jiyoon's (now) previous agency.
In April 2020, Woo Jiyoon departed the duo, expressing "concerns about her future career." Following her departure, Ahn Jiyoung's management declared that she will continue to promote herself as a solo artist under the moniker 'BOL4'. Following that, Woo Jiyoon debuted as a solo artist in June 2020, with the single 'O: CIRLE,' which had two tracks, 'DODO' and 'Island,' under the stage name Odd Child.
