BTS Jungkook Changes Iconic Instagram Username

We will surely miss that one unique and witty Instagram username.

The 16th of March, 2022, is a pivotal date in the land of the ARMYs, and we're in the same boat as them! Fans of BTS and Jungkook were in for a pleasant surprise when the 24-year-old performer said goodbye to a key aspect of their fandom.

Jungkook's Instagram handle has changed. That's correct, the iconic and brilliant username had everyone talking for days, with sponsors jumping on the trend and helping BTS achieve yet another viral moment. It was popular for a reason: Jungkook is known as JK, and by using the successive alphabets, he came up with the username 'abcdefghi lmnopqrstuvwxyz.' BTS members have previously discussed this brilliant maneuver, with J-Hope recalling the maknae's cheerful expression and proud demeanor when coining the pseudonym.

Jungkook's Instagram presence, which he has come to be known as 'user alphabet,' has only brought joy to his admirers. And, given how things are changing today, this can legitimately be called the end of an age. The new username for the youngest BTS member is 'jungkook.97,' and while we like the simplicity, we can't help but regret the long one! Fans have dubbed it the 'user sweatshirt,' a reference to one of BTS' most popular clothing items, which featured the members' names and birth years emblazoned on black sweatshirts.

Meanwhile, Jungkook has been providing fans with some truly gorgeous photos from the group's three sold-out concerts at Seoul's Jamsil Olympic Stadium. Jungkook also published an Instagram story last night in which he was giggling at a particularly amusing scene from the ongoing tvN drama 'Twenty-Five, Twenty-One,' starring Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk.
