Stray Kids' Changbin Tests Positive for COVID-19

We wish Changbin a fast recovery!

Changbin of the Stray Kids has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

JYP Entertainment issued the following statement on March 18:

Hello, this is JYPE.

This is an announcement to notify that Stray Kids member Changbin tested positive for COVID-19 today.

Changbin used a self-testing kit in order to participate in the KBS “Music Bank” pre-recording on the morning of March 18 (Friday), and he carried out morning activities after receiving a negative result.

He then preemptively used a self-testing kit again for scheduled activities in the afternoon, and he received a positive result. He immediately went to a professional medical institution for a rapid antigen test and received a positive result.

Changbin has completed the second dose of his vaccine, and he currently has no particular symptoms. Following the guidelines of health authorities, he is in self-quarantine isolated from the other members.

The other seven members besides Changbin all received negative results from the professional rapid antigen tests. The members will continuously check on their health while paying special attention to personal hygiene, and as a more active preventive measure, all seven members will stay in isolated living spaces for the time being.

As a result, all music show activities scheduled for this week have been canceled. We ask for the understanding of fans who have waited for “MANIAC” comeback activities more than anyone, and we will notify you of further updates.

We once again apologize for causing concern to all fans who support Stray Kids and all involved industry representatives.

Considering the health of our artists as the top priority, we will do our best for [Changbin’s] quick recovery.

Thank you.
