'All of Us Are Dead' Star Im Jae Hyuk Reveals Having Part Time Jobs Despite The Drama's Success

He even mentioned that he worked as a designated drive days before this guesting.

Im Jae Hyuk, the star of 'All of Us Are Dead,' has revealed that he continues to take part-time jobs despite the drama's enormous success.

Im Jae Hyuk, who played Yang Dae Soo in the Netflix original series 'All of Us Are Dead,' came as a special guest on the current episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' which aired on March 16th.

Im Jae Hyuk discussed his rise to popularity on this day, noting that his Instagram followers had climbed to 680,000 since the filming of 'All of Us Are Dead.' However, he grabbed attention by revealing that he was still doing part-time jobs.

"I was even working as a designated driver four days ago," stated Im Jae Hyuk.

Despite the fact that 'All of Us Are Dead' became a worldwide success, Im Jae Hyuk continued to work part-time jobs, prompting Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho to inquire if it would be good for Im Jae Hyuk to take a vacation from his part-time jobs due to the show's tremendous popularity.

"Apart from the drama doing well, nothing special has changed about my bank account," Im Jae Hyuk said. "I spend between 900,000 KRW and 1 million KRW (742.48 USD 824.98 USD) for a month's rent and living expenses, so I'm only working to earn that much. The monthly rent is about 400,000 KRW (330 USD), so I only have to do 5 part-time courier jobs, and I can work for a week or two to earn 600,000 KRW (495 USD) a month for living expenses.”

Im Jae Hyuk also claimed that he had worked at a fish store, a butcher's shop, a restaurant waiter, and a mart, indicating that he has done almost every part-time job imaginable.

When asked about the best and most difficult part-time employment, he said, "Working as a paid designated driver is both the best and the hardest aspect," and went on to describe the terrible situations he had while driving.

"I have to deal with a drunken person," he explained, "so there was a time when I called to say I was on my way and ran for a kilometer, but the customer didn't answer the phone; the subway was about to stop running soon, but I kept calling, and he answered the phone, but as soon as he answered, he cursed at me, saying, 'If I don't answer the phone, you should have understood that I don't need your service anymore and you should have canceled and went away.' At that time, the subway already stopped running, so I remember going to the convenience store to eat cup noodles waiting for the late-night bus.”

Im Jae Hyuk also revealed that his mother discovered his son's multiple part-time jobs after reading a news article. "My mother called and cried the night the piece was published," the actor claimed. "I was irritated."

"I went to the military," he said, "but I wanted to live without my parents' assistance for a while." My parents advised me to tell them if I was having financial difficulties, but I told them I was fine. I didn't want to make my parents' lives any more difficult."
