Golden Child's Daeyeol Confirms Military Enlistment Date

He previously announced his enlistment in the group's concert.

On the 5th and 6th of February, Golden Child hosted their '2022 GOLDEN CHILD CONCERT - PLAY' in Seoul, where they interacted with fans for the first time in approximately two years. At the conclusion of the performance, Daeyeol was treated to a surprise event. It was put together by other members and supporters to show support for Daeyeol, who used the event to announce that he was preparing to enlist in the military.

He expressed his joy at being able to see his admirers before enlisting in the military on March 29 with tears in his eyes. Then, on March 21, he proceeded to Twitter to share the news with supporters who couldn't make it to the show. He expressed his entire range of emotions in the note, noting that, although having confirmed his enrollment in February, penning a note before departing felt more personal. He also stated that fans should continue to love and support the band as he quietly performs his duties for the country and that he will see them soon!

Daeyeol is the stage name of Lee Dae Yeol, a South Korean singer and the leader of the boy band Golden Child. He appeared alongside Dong Hyun and Jae Seok in Woollim Entertainment's pre-debut initiative, W Project, where he released a dance performance video. Daeyeol also starred as San Ah, a member of the fictional boy band 'Infinite Power,' alongside co-member Y and INFINITE's Hoya and L, in the music video for Toheart's song 'Tell Me Why,' and in the TV series My Lovely Girl as San Ah, a member of the fictional boy band 'Infinite Power,' alongside co-member Y.
