KBS Drama 'Dear M.' To Reportedly Air in Japan

The drama has been postponed before due to one of the cast's bullying accusations.

KBS 2TV's highly awaited drama 'Dear.M' will be released first in Japan rather than South Korea, according to reports on March 24. Since the drama was placed on pause last year, fans have been waiting for an update for quite some time. The drama's team has negotiated a contract for transmission rights with other nations, according to KBS.

The drama will now air for the first time in Japan as a result of this agreement. 'Dear.M' tells the story of six Seoyeon University students: Ma Joo Ah (Park Hye Soo), Cha Min Ho (NCT's Jaehyun), Seo Ji Min (Roh Jeong Eui), Park Ha Neul (Bae Hyun Sung), Gil Mok Jin (UP10TION's Lee Jin Hyuk), and Hwang Bo Young (Woo Davi).

The show will examine the ramifications of an anonymous remark about a person known only as 'M' placed on the company's online community platform. It will describe the person's search and how a certain photography class plays a role in it. The young story will focus on one-sided love and college students' feelings at Seoyeon University.

The show was supposed to launch on February 26 at 11:10 PM KST (7:40 PM IST) as a weekly Friday drama, however it was postponed because lead actor Park Hye Soo was accused of bullying at school. After that, the production team decided to postpone the release of the idol drama 'Imitation.'
