Lee Joon and Kang Han Na in "Red Heart" (literal translation) have been given fresh stills by KBS!
"Red Heart" is a fictional historical drama about Lee Tae (Lee Joon), a king who must abandon the woman he loves in order to survive, and Yoo Jung (Kang Han Na), a woman who must become the queen in order to survive.
Lee Joon plays King Lee Tae, who wishes for an absolute monarchy in order to ensure his own existence. Lee Tae feels that all measures necessary to achieve this aim are justifiable, and he will not hesitate to use unlawful or dishonest means if necessary. When he gets into a fierce political conflict with Yoo Jung, his former sweetheart from his younger days, he is forced to choose between the monarchy and love.
Lee Joon's powerful and charming transformation into king Lee Tae is showcased in the new stills. While on the throne, he appears unconcerned and confident in his archery abilities.
Lee Joon's dominance as Lee Tae is shown in the next photo, in which he purses his lips and offers a menacing glare.
"Lee Joon has been immersing himself in his acting after constantly analyzing his character and thinking about what he can do to perfectly represent Lee Tae, from his fit in the royal robes to his every sentence and every breath," the production team stated. Please check out Lee Joon's powerful acting in 'Red Heart,' as he must depict an amplitude of significantly diverse feelings, from Lee Tae at his purest to the picture of having to survive on the palace throne."
Kang Han Na portrays Yoo Jung, a free-spirited woman with a forward-thinking outlook, in "Red Heart." Yoo Jung is a fearless woman with it all, from resourcefulness to intuitive intelligence. When she meets Lee Tae, she adds to her already tumultuous existence by being embroiled in palace intrigue.
Yoo Jung's purity and beauty are captured in her newly published photographs. Despite her grin, the second photograph captures her gaze longingly at something in the distance, expressing her mixed emotions. Yoo Jung appears kind, but her drive and willpower are visible in her eyes, hinting to the war she'll wage to stay alive in the castle.
"As if she jumped out of the script, Kang Han Na has exhibited amazing synchronization with Yoo Jung and is giving excitement to the drama," the producers said. Her free attitude reveals her bold and unusual loveliness, and she creates a captivating character. In 'Red Heart,' Kang Han Na's seasoned acting, which spans a wide range of emotions, will shine even brighter, so please look forward to it."
Following the completion of "Crazy Love," KBS will telecast "Red Heart" later this year.
