‘Hallyu is the Answer, KWAVE is Coming’ Series I

Pandemic is Not Over Yet, but Hallyu is Coming

The Korean Wave craze has overshadowed the pandemic. The K-Wave craze is reaching its climax in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world.

BTS' latest song 'Butter' has been listed as the most viewed video on YouTube for 24 hours, and continues to top the Billboard Singles Chart. The spread of the Korean Wave, such as the K-movies ‘Parasite’ and ‘Minari’, and the K-dramas ‘Kingdom’ and ‘Crash Landing on You’, in the midst of the Corona virus crisis is dazzling.

Hallyu, from the Periphery to the World

In the 2000s, the Korean Wave, which was popular in Asian countries, entered the globalization road in the 2010s. K-pop, K-movie, and K-drama, as the triangular axis of the Korean Wave, have gained public popularity.

According to the Korea Foundation, as of 2020, the number of ‘hot’ Hallyu fans in Korean Wave clubs around the world has exceeded 100 million for the first time since the 2012 survey. If you add up individual ‘zealous’ fans and ‘potential’ fans who have been exposed to Hallyu content at least once, the population of Hallyu is estimated to reach 1 billion.

The United States is the epicenter of the spread of the Korean Wave. With the BTS fan club 'Army', which is considered the most powerful fandom in history, some clubs have hundreds of thousands or even millions of people.

The United States has become the largest Hallyu powerhouse in North America. It has become a popular cultural phenomenon that has penetrated deep into the mainstream, away from the focus of the Asian-centered mania.

Pay Attention to the Fandom

The Hallyu business aimed at fandom has expanded into digital businesses such as internet shopping malls selling K-goods, online streaming services to watch K-movies and K-dramas, and community platforms for K-fans. Hallyu fans who visit K-town to experience K-food, K-beauty and K-fashion have also increased significantly.

This is the reason why big franchise companies such as McDonald's are conducting fandom marketing to secure Hallyu fans.

KWAVE GO is...

It is an IT platform company that supports a social platform (kwave.ai) where 1 billion Hallyu fans around the world communicate in one place with the value of ‘fairness and sharing’. In addition to the global Hallyu social platform functions, various contents such as K-pop, K-movie, K-game, K-beauty, K-food, K-toon, K-fashion, K-character, and K-culture have been developed or prepared in progress.

We have established a system in which users can purchase and pay their own cryptocurrency (KWG) for necessary services and e-commerce with the points they have accumulated without leaving the platform while enjoying various K-contents.We plan to expand our horizons as an entertainment that discovers and nurtures Hallyu stars, and an academy that nurtures talents who will lead the Hallyu business.
