Brave Girls riding high with latest EP and single

Summer Queen and "Chi Mat Ba Ram" are doing well on the charts.

After Brave Girls’ recent surge in popularity, K-pop fans the world over were eager to see what they would do next.

“Rollin’” was such a huge hit (it earned a perfect all-kill and seven music show wins) that it set the bar rather high for their comeback. Showbiz-watchers wondered if Brave Girls’ next release would be just as good, if not better than the song that brought them universal acclaim.

This month, Eunji, Minyoung, Yujeong, and Yuna returned with their new mini-album Summer Queen and its title track “Chi Mat Ba Ram.” On the day of its release, the album sold 28,719 copies and debuted at No. 1 on the Hanteo daily physical album chart.

On June 17, Summer Queen topped Gaon’s daily retail album chart with 27,922 copies sold while “Chi Mat Ba Ram” went to No. 1 on the Bugs and Genie charts.

Yujeong, the group’s visual and vocalist, said she felt some pressure while preparing for their comeback.

“This is the first time we’ve received so much attention since our debut. Just three months ago, we were just playing. It’d be a lie if we said there was no pressure. We’re trying our best to shake it off.”

At this point, it’s safe to say that they managed to do just that and then some. Brave Girls’ first comeback since their resurgence is a success!
