Monsta X's Hyungwon to Undergo Self-Quarantine After Confirmed COVID-19 Case Discovered on Drama Set

Luckily, Hyungwon had tested negative to the virus.

The filming of MONSTA X's Hyungwon's upcoming drama "Fly Again" has been temporarily suspended after a member of the crew tested positive for COVID-19.

Hyungwon's agency, Starship Entertainment, reported on August 1 that he had gotten into intimate contact with the man who has since been diagnosed with COVID-19 while filming the drama. Even though Hyungwon tested negative for the virus, he has placed himself in self-quarantine as a precaution.

"Hyungwon has tested negative to the COVID-19 virus," a spokesman for King Kong by Starship said. He is currently in self-quarantine since he has been categorized as a close contact [of the COVID-19 patient]."

Despite testing negative, Hyungwon's "Fly Again" co-star Lee Seung Heon, who came into close contact with the confirmed case of COVID-19, has also entered self-quarantine. Following this unexpected development, "Fly Again" is said to be changing its filming schedule.
