The LA G-CEO golf tournament sponsored by the Hallyu social platform KWAVE, the president's cup of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, ended successfully with 144 registered players.
KWAVE, who participated as a platinum sponsor at the event held at the California Country Club on August 9, presented 2021 Korean Wave GO(KWG) coins to the winners and all participants.
Male medalist Han Yong-taek and female medalist Seo Ok-hee were each awarded 200 KWG coins, and the longest winners and closest winners were each awarded 100 KWG coins. In addition, all participants will receive 3 KWG coins each.
This is the first time in the history of a golf tournament that cryptocurrency has been awarded as a prize money.
Steven Choi, Senior Vice President of KWAVE, said, “We are giving away 2021 Hallyu coins in order to wish all participants a great success in 2021.” G-CEO President Lawrence Han said, “KWAVE was willing to participate as the title sponsor, making the event more successful.”
The G-CEO course, hosted by the Graduate School of Business at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, is a CEO course for Korean-Americans in the United States. It is one of the largest economic organization in the United States with more than 500 business owners, lawyers, CPAs, and financial experts forming a business network.
