TXT's Hueningkai gives his sister Bahiyyih some 'helpful' advice

He talked to her in true oppa fashion.

On the second episode of Mnet’s new survival show Girls Planet 999, one contestant surprised the others with a big revelation.

When Korean trainee Huening Bahiyyih and the rest of her unit took the stage, K-Pop Master Sunmi asked her if she was related to TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s maknae Hueningkai. Although Bahiyyih seemed somewhat shy about it, she eventually admitted that she’s his youngest sister.

Bahiyyih added that Hueningkai is a really good brother who tries to stay in touch with her despite his busy schedule. “I call him pretty often and ask for tips on how to do well. I learn a lot from him,” she said.

Girls Planet 999 then aired part of a video call between the two siblings. At the start of the call, Bahiyyih said she was hoping to ask her brother for advice on facial expressions.

But when he answered and she brought up the subject, she didn’t get the chance to do so because he reacted in an unexpected way.

“Oppa!” she greeted him. “You’re good at facial expressions. I’m planning to focus on that, so—wait, why are you laughing?”

He replied, “Because you’re already good at it!”

Bahiyyih was dismayed because she was serious about wanting his advice. She’s up against 98 other trainees from China, Japan, and Korea, so she needed to up her game. “You’ve never seen me do it before, oppa. I need some words of support from you,” she pleaded.

Eventually, he gave his sister the encouragement she needed. “Get a hold of yourself. You have to do well in order to survive there.”

Still, Hueningkai—in true older brother fashion—couldn’t resist a chance to get in one last dig at Bahiyyih before the call ended. “You’re good. But not as good as me, of course!” he chortled.

Bahiyyih is definitely one of the most popular contestants on Girls Planet 999, as her PR video earned 1.7 million YouTube views. Some say she owes her popularity to the fact that she’s Hueningkai’s dongsaeng, but that’s not all she has going for her. She’s actually a very good dancer and singer (her videos prove that), and she’ll only get better with time.
